I came across Sunaina designs by chance. I’ve spent ages in London trying to find a white wedding saree for my wedding ceremony but nothing seemed like ‘the one’. Then one night I was browsing my Instagram and I came across her ivory 3D flower saree. I knew instantly that it was ‘the one.’ I’ve never bought anything from Instagram before so my expectations were low and I didn’t think her team would even reply to my WhatsApp. But the very next day her team replied and we got the ball rolling from there. We had to do everything virtually because of covid but her team made everything seamless. They were very patient and answered all my endless questions. She also kept me in the loop during the production by sending me videos of the attire and triple checking measurements. She then went above and beyond and designed my reception dress. The first thing anyone that has seen the dress would say is “I’ve never seen such a glamorous dress like this before. “ She has exceeded all my expectations. I’m very happy with my wedding outfits and cannot wait to wear them ❤️✨

My relationship with fashion.

I’ve been asked this question countless times- ‘Why did you become a fashion designer?’ Over the years I have perfected this answer and it goes something like this:

There was never a moment in my entire life when I didn’t want this. Sure, when I was young, I wanted it for the glamour. As I grew up and began my education at NIFT, I became aware of the amount of courage and hard work it really entails, and I still wanted it.

Lately, I have seen and treasured my label as a companion. Most important of all, I want to leave behind a legacy. I want to create something of substance and value, something bigger than my own existence, something that outlives me. That is my ultimate goal.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that my love for fashion has never ever wavered, but what all it is capable of giving me in return continues to change.

Yes, we do deliver internationally

We do not create completely new designs. Customisations in our existing design are possible to a LIMITED extent. A few changes that we make are:

1. Colour Ways
2. Neckline/Blouse Lengths
3. Addition/Removal of Sleeves

As long as the crux, of our design stays the same, we are happy to incorporate a few changes based on your personal requirements.

Anything embroidered takes 2-3 months. Pieces with lesser/no embroidery (like our silk satin sarees) take 3-4 weeks depending on our schedule. It’s advisable to place your order a couple of months in advance so we dedicate a portion of that time just for you. The sooner you come, the better it is.

We do not go on sale. We only create one piece per sample, so there’s no excess inventory. It’s also a much more sustainable model.

We do trials/fittings when we are delivering an order. Any minor alterations post that are complimentary for a period of 1 year. Alterations post that are chargeable.
